In times when employment and consumption are on the back burner, it is not surprising that the average disposable income is also falling.
Once a year, we calculate the forecast purchasing power for the whole of Germany.
The calculations were based on data from the DIW (German Institute for Economic Research) and the ifo Institute as well as the Federal Statistical Office and the Federal Employment Agency. Compared to the pre-corona forecast, purchasing power has fallen by EUR 388 per capita or 1.6% due to the subdued economic performance and now amounts to EUR 23,861 per inhabitant . You can see how this is distributed in the Nexiga purchasing power map online.
Purchasing power lets us know many things....
- Know where to find consumers with purchasing power.
- Know where locations with appropriate clientele make sense.
- Knowing where products or services find sales in line with purchasing power levels.
